Partners & Funders

Film Access Scotland (FAS)

Film Access Scotland (FAS) is a consortium of leading moving image and media access organisations made up of The Portal Arts (Glasgow), GMAC Films (Glasgow), Media Education (Edinburgh), Screen Education Edinburgh and Station House Media Unit (Aberdeen), who work with young people and the wider community throughout Scotland.

Member organisations have a rich and diverse history of working with people at all stages of their learning journey as well as using film and media for community development purposes.

The Portal Arts is developing a series of short film projects with young people, providing training and access through networking events and national conferences. The films will be screened as part of the Youth Film Access Festival in November 2021 & February 2022, as well as the COP26 United Nations Climate Change Conference, hosted in Glasgow.

Thriving Places

Through the Thriving Places network, we take a partnership approach working strategically across the area. Operating through principles of co-production, capacity-building and community assets, we aim to combat inequalities and achieve better outcomes for residents living in the top 5 percent of the Scottish index of  multiple deprivation.

We are thankful to the following funders, who are currently providing funds to enable our programmes to run:
